Put the sentences in order

문장 순서 맞추기

Put four sentences (가)(나)(다)(라) in a logical order (Q57–58).

Test tips

  1. Start from the options: they open with only two different sentences, so first decide which one comes first.
  2. The first sentence doesn't start with a connector (그래서, 그런데, 하지만, 그리고) or a pointer (이렇게, 그때) and usually introduces a person, place or time (어제, 지난주에, 저는 ~).
  3. A sentence with 그래서/그런데/하지만 must directly follow its cause or contrasting idea.
  4. Signal chains: 처음에는 → 지금은, 하지만 → 그래서 → 드디어/결국, 이번에는 → 다음에는; sentences with 다음에는, 앞으로 or 결국 usually come last.
  5. After choosing, read the whole text in that order once to check; spend no more than a minute per item.

다음을 순서대로 맞게 나열한 것을 고르십시오.

Explanation

Step 1: find the opening sentence. It doesn't start with a connector (하지만, 그래서) and usually introduces the topic. The options start only with (나) or (라); (나) 'I've been learning yoga since last month' introduces the topic, while (라) '처음에는' (at first) needs something before it. So (나) comes first. Step 2: '처음에는' in (라) contrasts with '지금은' in (가), and (가) opens with '하지만', so (라) must precede (가). Step 3: (다) '그래서 앞으로도' is the conclusion and comes last. Order: (나)-(라)-(가)-(다), option 2. Option 1 puts (가) right after (나), but '하지만 지금은' needs an opposing idea before it.
