Choose the main idea

중심 생각 고르기

Hear a 4-turn dialogue (Q22–24) and choose the woman's main idea, the opinion she wants to put across.

Test tips

  1. Only the woman's opinion counts; the man's view is often used as a trap option.
  2. Her main idea is usually in her last line, often after 그래도, 그런데, 저는 ~다고 생각해요 or ~는 게 좋아요.
  3. The key is usually a general statement with '-는 것이 좋습니다' or '-아/어야 합니다'; concrete examples are only supporting points.
  4. Eliminate options that repeat a true detail but not the main point (e.g. 'getting up early is hard'), or that go too far (bans, obligations).
  5. Time tip: preview the options while waiting, then match them against her final line.

Explanation

The main-idea type asks for one speaker's opinion (here the woman's), which usually sits in her last line. She concludes '미리 써 가면 돈을 아낄 수 있어요' (if you write it down beforehand you can save money), so the answer is option 3. Option 2 is the man's view ('그냥 가서 보고 사면 되지 않아요?'), a frequent trap. Option 4 borrows '필요 없는 것' from her line but changes the meaning: she says people buy things they don't need, not that the store is full of useless items. Option 1 compares with a market, which is never mentioned.
