คำอธิบาย
Gives a reason or background the listener doesn't know yet, usually after a previous statement. Attaches to the stem; past -았/었거든요. Unlike -잖아요 (already known).

오늘은 일찍 가야 해요. 약속이 있거든요.
I have to leave early today. I have plans, you see.
요즘 피곤해요. 이사를 했거든요.
I'm tired these days. I just moved, you see.
제가 다음 주에 결혼하거든요. 꼭 오세요.
I'm getting married next week. Please come.
