Explanation
Expresses a decision or an agreement with someone. Attaches to verb stems, usually in the past -기로 했다. Negative: -지 않기로 하다.
Examples
올해부터 담배를 끊기로 했어요.
I've decided to quit smoking this year.
친구와 토요일에 만나기로 했어요.
I agreed to meet my friend on Saturday.
우리는 더 이상 싸우지 않기로 했어요.
We decided not to fight anymore.
