Explanation
Added to the stem to honour a subject who is older or senior. Vowel or ㄹ stems (ㄹ drops) take 시, consonant stems 으시; -(으)시 + 어요 → -(으)세요, past -(으)셨어요. Never used about yourself.
Examples
아버지는 은행에서 일하세요.
My father works at a bank.
사장님이 회의실에 들어가셨어요.
The boss went into the meeting room.
할머니는 서울에 사세요.
My grandmother lives in Seoul.
