Explanation
Links two nouns for possession or relation (친구의 책). Often pronounced [에]. 나의, 저의, 너의 contract to 내, 제, 네, and 의 is often dropped in speech.

This is the teacher's book.
제 동생은 대학생이에요.
My younger sibling is a university student.
