An action is interrupted and switched for another, or something happens during it (often the cause of a bad result). Attaches to the stem; both clauses share the subject. Short form: -다.
例句
공부하다가 잠이 들었어요.
I fell asleep while studying.
집에 가다가 친구를 만났어요.
I met a friend on my way home.
계단에서 뛰다가 넘어졌어요.
I fell while running on the stairs.
