Expresses obligation or necessity. ㅏ/ㅗ stems take 아야 하다, others 어야 하다, 하다 → 해야 하다. 되다 can replace 하다, slightly more colloquial.
例句
내일까지 보고서를 내야 해요.
I have to submit the report by tomorrow.
비행기를 타려면 여권이 있어야 돼요.
You need a passport to take a plane.
건강을 위해 채소를 많이 먹어야 해요.
You should eat lots of vegetables for your health.
