Even if you do it, it is useless or the result is trivial. ㅏ/ㅗ stems take 아 봤자, others 어 봤자, 하다 → 해 봤자. The main clause is usually -(으)ㄹ 거예요, 소용없다, 뻔하다; never a command.
例句
지금 가 봤자 영화는 이미 시작했을 거예요.
Even if we go now, the film will have started.
후회해 봤자 소용없어요.
There's no use regretting it.
비싸 봤자 만 원 정도일 거예요.
Even at its priciest, it'll be about 10,000 won.
