解説
Gives the cause of a bad result, with a sense of blame. Present verbs take 는 탓에, past verbs and adjectives (으)ㄴ 탓에; nouns 탓에, 탓이다. The opposite of 덕분에.
例文
밤늦게까지 게임을 한 탓에 늦잠을 잤다.
I overslept because I played games late into the night.
날씨가 추운 탓에 손님이 줄었다.
Customers dropped off because of the cold.
이번 실패는 제 탓이에요.
This failure is my fault.
