Penjelasan
The cause is a noisy or chaotic situation with a bad effect. Attaches to verb stems (-는 통에); nouns take 통에 (난리 통에). The result is negative and never a command.
Contoh
옆집에서 공사를 하는 통에 잠을 못 잤어요.
I couldn't sleep because of the construction next door.
아이들이 떠드는 통에 전화 소리를 못 들었다.
I didn't hear the phone because the kids were so noisy.
사람들이 밀치는 통에 넘어질 뻔했어요.
People were pushing, and I nearly fell.
