Explanation
Reports something the speaker personally saw, heard or felt, as new information for the listener. Attaches to the stem; not normally used for the speaker's own actions (except feelings: 제가 좀 피곤하더라고요).
Examples
그 식당 음식이 생각보다 맛있더라고요.
That restaurant's food was better than I expected.
제주도는 바람이 정말 많이 불더라고요.
It was really windy on Jeju.
민수 씨가 노래를 아주 잘하더라고요.
Minsu sings really well, I found.
